Class Descriptions

Gentle Hatha Yoga
Focus on breathing, gentle movement, joint opening and foundational alignment. Safely explore range of motion, develop stability, and cultivate inner focus. Accessible for those with injuries or those who enjoy the depth of a quieter practice.


Moderate Hatha Yoga
Cultivate balanced strength and flexibility. Safe alignment and attention to breath as the primary guide of movement will be emphasized as we explore variations of foundational postures, and expand our awareness of body-breath-attention. Suitable for beginning to seasoned practitioners.


Strong Hatha Yoga
Explore a full range of postures, challenging your stamina and deepening your concentration with with longer holds and creative variations. Simple inversions may be offered. A more physically demanding class best suited for injury free students who are up for a little more intensity.

 
Gentle Hatha Vinyasa
Simple cycles of foundational postures linked with breath help to build meditative focus and breath capacity. Balanced with grounding and resting postures, this is style hatha vinyasa is suitable for all levels,  including beginners.

 
Moderate Hatha Vinyasa
Get supple. A creative blend of dynamic, flowing postures linked together with the breath. Includes pauses in in stabilizing and resting poses that emphasize alignment and focus. Modifications offered to simplify or challenge.
 

Ojas Yoga Blend (for Every Body)
Enter embodied presence with a class that offers all 8 limbs of Yoga.  Unlock deeply held tension with breath, cultivate suppleness with a creative range of movement, heal the nervous system by slowing down, and expand your heart-wisdom through radical self-acceptance. End with deep rest and 10 minutes silent meditation. Gentle-Moderate Class open to all - modifications offered to simplify or challenge.

 
Chair/Adaptive Yoga
This class offers gentle, mindful stretching, movement sequences, breathing exercises, voice, and meditation supported by soothing live music for elders and others for whom getting up and down from a mat on the floor would be impractical. Students will be encouraged to incorporate what they learn into daily life and to dedicate some time for their own home practice for enhancement of health, wellbeing, and inner peace.
 
Senior/Elder Yoga
The senior yoga practice is structured to emphasize poses which enable elders to move and breathe more fully. We use chairs or the wall for support to accommodate those who have challenges balancing. This is an excellent class for strengthening, flexibility, relaxation, and enlightenment. Best suited to people with limited mobility and/or those who have difficulty getting up and down from the floor.

 
Restorative Yoga
​Reset your nervous system, unravel deep tensions, and fill up your reservoir of health! Restorative Yoga is a floor-based practice with utilizes blankets, blocks, and Yoga bolsters to support the body in gentle opening postures held for 5-15 minutes each. Includes guided relaxation.  Great for every human, whether overworked, injured, or just appreciating a deep dive into rest. The ultimate antidote to a busy or active lifestyle.

Curvy Yoga
Curvy Yoga instruction is specific for larger bodies. This class is a body-affirming practice of yoga and dynamic mindfulness incorporating gentle yoga poses, breathwork and meditation.  Come experience accessible yoga in a safe & fun environment without fear of judgment. Curvy Yoga promotes self-awareness, self-acceptance & stress resilience, while building strength and flexibility.


Heart of Meditation
Gather to connect with the universal wisdom of being present with Presence. You do not have to stop thinking or kill the ego in order to meditate! The practices shared are based in non-dual awareness methods of "effortless practice" or "direct experience" which emphasize one's innate wholeness. Each evening includes a short philosophy talk, guided centering/relaxation, and silent heart-based meditation. Beginners welcome! Chairs available. Wheelchair accessible.
