In Yoga & Ayurveda, the word for our inherent resiliency is "Ojas"!!
We can nurture and maintain our Ojas by using simple techniques that:
1) support root-level healing from stress/trauma
2) sustain a healthy nervous system, a balanced mind-set, and a strong sense of trust in the face of the unknown
3) develop radiant vulnerability: compassionate kindness for ourselves and each others' eccentricities, mistakes, and imperfections on this winding journey of being human

Each 90 minute class will include discussion & practice
Week 1: SLOWING DOWN - Nervous System, Breath & Restorative Yoga
Week 2: MEDITATIVE MOVEMENT - Nourishment vs.Depletion
Week 3: BREATH - Recovering from the Chronic Stress Response
Week 4: SELF CARE & ROOTS OF RESILIENCY - Taking it home
October Series Teacher: Josephine Kelly
Josephine believes everyone has the potential to transform their experience and reconnect with their whole self through mindful, embodied movement. Her gentle classes focus on building stress resilience and inviting relaxation, with an emphasis on body awareness and self-acceptance to meet and love yourself exactly as you are in this moment.
Josephine is a certified yoga instructor (200 Hour CYT) who is currently studying evidence-based, therapeutic approaches to yoga in a 300 Hour advanced training with Niroga. She is also a Level 1 Restorative Yoga Teacher (20 Hour).October Series Teacher: Josephine Kelly

Teacher: Nicole Becker
Nicole is the Founder and Yoga Director at Ojas Yoga Center. She has been formally studying Yoga for 25 years, teaching for 15. Steeped in the radical acceptance practices of Classical Yogic & Tantric philosophy and world devotional/mystical practices, Nicole delivers a simultaneously simple and sophisticated yoga practice that harmonizes the whole being and heals the personal and collective nervous system. Nicole's teaching is expressed with authenticity, depth, graciousness, humor, and a sometimes uncanny intuition of exactly what you need to feel and hear.
