The meaning of "Ojas"
Pronounced with a hard 'j' like in the word juice, Ojas is a Sanskrit word used in Yoga and Ayurveda (traditional Indian medicine) referring to vigor, vitality, and resilience. Along with 'prana' (life energy) and 'tejas' (radiance), it is one of the main life forces considered essential to well-being and longevity. At Ojas Yoga Center we promote principles and practices to help you re-build and maintain your essential reservoir of health. We specialize in heart-centered practices, slowing down, connecting with breath, nature & each other, and cultivating self-acceptance, natural joy and friendliness.
A sanctuary for deep wellness
Ojas Yoga Center opened in 2010 as a sanctuary for deep wellness. We honor the depth of Yoga by offering a complete Yoga practice (movement, breath, rest and meditation) in a quiet, clean and sacred setting. We honor each person with a practice that respects their individual needs. Our beautifully appointed studio has bamboo floors, eco-friendly yoga props, lots of natural light, a view of the sky and hills, and is filled with the healing energy of kindness and fresh flowers. At Ojas you will find a genuine welcome, unpretentious calm, and a place where you are allowed to connect with your whole self. Our classes, workshops and special events are carefully chosen to bring you the depth of care you are craving.
